Greetings PHS family, today in PE we took our Floor Hockey Post test. We also started our Fitness Gram Post testing. Students got their height and weight measured during both classes. Greetings PHS family, today in PE we played our last day of Floor Hockey games. We started our day with a five lap cardiovascular endurance warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our quadriceps and calf muscles. Then we performed pushups and bicycle crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Students enjoyed playing their last games with the Floor Hockey unit. We ended our day with static stretches. Students, please remember to bring a #2 pencil and your interactive notebooks with you tomorrow for your post test. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued our Floor Hockey elimination games. We started our day with our five lap cardiovascular warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our hamstring muscles. We also performed diamond pushups and six inches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Students performed well and were very competitive today during the floor hockey games. We ended our day with our static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued our elimination Floor Hockey tournament games. We started our day off with our five lap cardiovascular endurance warmup around the gym. Next, we began our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our groin muscles.Then we performed pushups and sit and reach crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. During game play today, each student did a fantastic job applying the skills that they learned throughout the unit to game play. We ended our day with our static stretching routine. Students, please remember that Friday is our Unit Post Test for the Floor Hockey unit. Please review your notes, vocabulary words related to the unit, and if you have any questions or would like tutoring please be sure to let me know ahead of time.

Next, we began our dynamic and static stretching focusing on stretching our quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Then we performed wide grip pushups and abdominal crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. We started our elimination tournaments today in Floor Hockey. Each team had the opportunity to play at least one game. Students displayed great sportsmanship during game play. We ended our day with our static stretching routine. We performed wide grip pushups and V-ups for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Students did a great job today with passing and receiving the puck during game play. Then we began our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our hip flexors, hamstrings, quadriceps muscles. We then performed pushups and crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. We continued our Floor Hockey Round Robin game play. Each team played each other once today. Students did a great job today with passing to open teammates and dribbling with their heads up. We will continue round robin play all week, and we will begin elimination play next week. We ended our day with static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

We started our day with a five lap jog around the gym for our cardiovascular endurance warmup, and then dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on hamstring and quadriceps muscles. Next, we performed super planks and figure four's for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Students were assigned Floor Hockey teams today and we started game play. Students did a great job today applying the skills that they learned at the beggining of the unit to actual game play. We ended our day with our static stretching routine. Let's have another exciting day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we started off with our dynamic and static stretching routine. Focusing on hamstring and hip flexor stretches. Next, we performed close grip pushups and toe touches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. We began our Floor Hockey skills practice with dribbling in a straight line, as well as dribbling while changing directions, and we played a few three on three dribbling activities. It is important that the students master the correct dribbling technique in order to be successful during the Floor Hockey unit. We ended our day with our static stretching cool down routine. Standards for the Week!

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we started our Floor Hockey unit! We began our day with the Floor Hockey pre-test, followed by Floor Hockey notes. Notes are essential to students overall knowledge of the game as well as improvement. I want to make sure that each student has the opportunity to learn the history of the sport, fundamental skills, official rules of the game, and putting those skills, rules, and history of game to the test during game play and while taking the post-test. Lastly, students wrote their three goals for the unit in their journals. Tomorrow we will begin focusing on Standard 1 and building fundamental skills. Let's have a great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we took our Flag Football Post test. Students also wrote a reflection in their journal regarding their three goals for the unit. After we completed our post test and reflections, we played our final games of Flag Football tournament play on the football field. The students truly enjoyed this unit and worked very hard. On Monday, we will begin our Floor Hockey unit. Students, please remember to bring your interactive journals and a number 2 pencil on Monday. Have a great weekend.
