Greetings PHS family, today in PE we took our post test for Basketball. We also conducted an active final review session. Today, students received a copy of the final exam review. Greetings PHS family, today in PE we played our last day of the round robin basketball tournament. We started our day with our five lap cardiovascular warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our quadriceps muscles. Then, we performed close grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and planks for our abdominal strength exercise. Students continued round robin game play today and the games were very competitive. Students please remember that our unit post test for Basketball will be tomorrow. Also, please see the main menu on my blog in order to download a copy of the final exam study guide sheet. Study guides will also be handed out tomorrow. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued our round robin basketball tournament game play. We started our day with our five lap cardiovascular warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our hamstring and quadriceps muscles. Then, we performed pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and six inches for our abdominal strength exercise. Students continued round robin game play today and the games were very competitive. Students please remember that our unit post test for Basketball will be on Wednesday. Also, please see main menu on my blog in order to download a copy of the final exam study guide sheet. Study guides will also be handed out on Wednesday. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our hip flexor muscles. Then, we performed wide grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and planks for our abdominal strength exercise. Students continued round robin game play today and the games were very competitive. As we round out the semester, students please remember to continue to dress out everyday and your participation is required as apart of your grade in PE. We ended our day with our static stretches. Have a great weekend!

Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our groin muscles. Then, we performed close grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and 6 inches for our abdominal strength exercise. Students practiced 3 on 3 games today in order to prepare for tomorrow's tournament game play. We will begin our round robin basketball tournament tomorrow. Students did a great job today. We ended our day with our static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued basketball unit. We started our day with our five lap cardiovascular warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our hamstring muscles. Then, we performed wide grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and bicycle crunches for our abdominal strength exercise. We practiced the skill of shooting today using the B.E.E.F. concept for students to follow. After we introduced shooting, students practiced layups, and played a couple of games of knockout, and then we continued our 3 on 3 practice games. Students did a great job today. We ended our day with our static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we began our Basketball unit. We began our day with the Pre-test for the unit, and notes on the rules, and origin of the sport. We were also able to begin some dribbling drills today as well. The students have been anticipating this particular unit all semester, so we expect to have a ton of fun.
