This Week in PE! (8/25-8/29)

Greetings PHS Family,

This week in PE we finished up our volleyball unit. On Monday (8/25), we began our food/liquid logs. Students received a log template in which they wrote all of the food and liquids that they have eaten over the past week. This log is a part of our fitness and health model. We want all of our students to be conscious of what they eat and drink during the day. On Tuesday (8/26), we continued our volleyball unit with round robin games for 1st and 2nd block. Wednesday (8/27), we continued our volleyball unit with elimination games for 1st an 2nd block. Thursday (8/28), was our last day of volleyball, we played our last tournament game for the unit. On Friday (8/29), we took our volleyball post test. Grades will be posted by 9/5/14.

This Week in PE! (8/11-8/15)

Greetings PHS family,

This week in PE we will begin our Volleyball unit. Students will also begin to dress out during this first week of our volleyball unit. Students will take a volleyball pre-test as well as the General PE common assessment on Thursday (8/14). Students will learn the origin of volleyball, official rules, and the court dimensions of the sport. We will also work on skill development during the week, so that students are able to translate all of their general knowledge and skill development that they have accumulated throughout the unit into game play. I am eager to get started. Students please make sure you dress out every day and remember to bring your interactive journals to class on Monday. Let’s have a great week!
