Greetings PHS family, we completed our last day of the Kickball unit. We started our day with our five lap cardiovascular warmup. Next, we performed our dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our quadricep and hamstring muscles. Then, we performed close grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and curl-ups for our abdominal strength exercise. We then continued our kickball game. We ended our day with our static stretches. Have a great weekend!

Then, we performed wide grip pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and toe touches for our abdominal strength exercise. We then continued our kickball game. Then, we performed staggered pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and sit and reach crunches for our abdominal strength exercise. We then continued our kickball game. Then, we performed pushups for our muscular endurance exercise and figure four crunches for our abdominal strength exercise. We then continued our kickball game. I reviewed the rules of kickball and made sure that each student understood their goals and expectations for this weeks kickball unit. We ended our day with our static stretches. We then started our kickball introduction. I reviewed the rules of kickball and made sure that each student understood their goals and expectations for this weeks kickball unit. Greetings PHS family, today in PE students took their Team Handball Post test. After the test was over we played our last games of Team Handball. The students really enjoyed this particular unit, and I look forward to improving this unit in the future using their feedback. We will begin our one week Kickball unit on Monday. Students have really improved their overall skill with Team Handball over the course of this unit. We ended our day with our static stretches. Next, we performed the dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our lower back and quadricep muscles. Students were able to select their own Team Handball teams today. Both classes did a really good job focusing on following the Handball rules and played well. We ended our day with static stretches. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued our Team Handball unit. We started our day with dynamic and static stretches focusing on stretching our calf muscles. We then performed wide grip pushups and bicycle crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Next, we ran a mile, students compared their times from the last mile to see if there was any improvement with their times. Lastly, we practiced passing and receiving and played a lead up game to Team Handball. We ended our day with static stretching. Have a great weekend.

We took notes on the origin, official rules, court dimensions, and skills that will be needed to be successful in the sport of Team Handball. Lastly, students wrote in their interactive journal their three goals for the unit. We will begin skills tomorrow, let's have another great day!

Greetings PHS family. I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is well rested for the new week! Today in PE we started our Fitness gram post test. Each student is required to take the Fitness gram pre and post test. The fitness gram test evaluates each students cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance and strength and BMI. On Wednesday we will finish up the Fitness gram post test and begin our Team Handball unit.
