Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued our game play for the Team Sports Unit of Softball/Whiffle ball. We started our day with our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our hamstring muscles. Next, we performed pushups and toe touches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. Students continued playing softball/whiffle ball with great enthusiasm. Students, please remember that we will have our Softball/Whiffleball post test this Friday. We ended our day with static stretching. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Next, we performed super planks and toe touches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. I demonstrated each positon on the field, and we began game play. We started our day with our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our hip flexor muscles. Next, we performed pushups and lower ab crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. I demonstrated the proper technique for batting. Students got into groups and practiced the proper technique for batting. Next, we played kickball as a lead up game for sofball. Concentrating on following the official rules and using the tag up and force out rules. We ended our day with static stretching. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Next, we performed diamond pushups and bicycle crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. I demonstrated the proper technique for throwing and catching as well as fielding ground balls using a sofball glove. Students got into groups and practiced the proper technique. Next, we played kickball as a lead up game for sofball. Concentrating on following the official rules and using the tag up and force out rules. Tomorrow we will practice batting and game positions. We ended our day with static stretching. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we began our Softball/Whiffleball unit. Students took the Softball/Whiffleball pre-test. Then we took notes on the origin, official rules, basic skills and field dimensions. Last, students wrote their 3 goals for the unit in their interactive notebooks. Students, please remember that the Softball/Whiffleball unit will be played outside. Please wear appropriate clothing for the remainder of the unit. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we finished our Fitness Gram post testing. Students ran the Pacer test (cardiovascular endurance) and also played a game of kickball. On Monday, we will begin our Softball/Whiffleball unit. Students please be sure to bring shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. The Softball/Whiffleball unit will be conducted on the baseball or softball field on the PHS campus. Have a great weekend!

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we began our Fitness Gram post test. Students completed the sit & reach (flexibility), pushups, and curlups (muscular endurance & strength) tests. Tomorrow we will complete the Pacer test. Let's have another great day tomorrow.

Greetings PHS family, today in PE we took our Floor Hockey post test. After completing the exam, students wrote their reflection essay for the unit. Last, we played our last tournament games for the unit. Students did an outstanding job during the Floor Hockey unit. We will take our Fitness Gram post test tomorrow and Friday, and we will begin Softball/Whiffleball on Monday. Let's have another great day tomorrow.
