Greetings PHS family, today in PE we continued practicing skills for the Team Sports Unit of Softball/Whiffleball. We started our day with our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our hamstring muscles. Next, we performed diamond pushups and bicycle crunches for our muscular endurance and abdominal strength exercises. I demonstrated the proper technique for throwing and catching as well as fielding ground balls using a sofball glove. Students got into groups and practiced the proper technique. Next, we played kickball as a lead up game for sofball. Concentrating on following the official rules and using the tag up and force out rules. Tomorrow we will practice batting and game positions. We ended our day with static stretching. Let's have another great day tomorrow.
