Greetings PHS family, today in PE continued practicing skills for our Team Sports Unit of Basketball. We started our day with our dynamic and static stretching routine focusing on stretching our hamstring muscle. Next, we performed pushups and crunches for our abdominal strength exercise. Next, we reviewed dribbling, focusing on the proper technique of using your fingertips while dribbling. Then we practiced passing and receiving using the chest, bounce, baseball, and overhead passes. Last, we played 3 on 3 games without dribbling focusing on proper spatial awareness and movement without the ball. We ended our day with static stretches. Tomorrow we will introduce shooting.
